What is this Capstone all about?

This Project combines all the concepts covered in the Advanced modules and has been designed to test them together in one end of course project.

It is Grand Prix weekend and you work for the Formula 1 Racing Team 'KX Racing'! For this project you will take on 3 different roles in the organisation. 

• Database Maintainer - Pre Race: You will be responsible for maintaining and adding to the kdb+ database that houses all sensor data from wind tunnel modelling and race car performance.
  • Data Loading & Modification
  • Table Derivation
  • Saving Data to Disk
• Performance / Pit Stop Engineer - Race Day: You will be responsible for developing high performing queries for real time analysis during pit stops in live races.
  • Writing flexible APIs (using Functional Statements)
  • Debugging issues using error Trapping & Logging
  • Code Profiling & Performance tuning
• Infrastructure Engineer - Post Race: You are responsbile for implementing a high security framework for access of the teams kdb+ system.

Who is this course suitable for?

Aimed at users familiar with KX who have experience with kdb+/q or have undertaken as least some of the KX Fundamentals and Advanced Modules on the Academy.

You will receive a KX Certification to state that you have completed the capstone.
