In this course, you will gain a foundational understanding of KDB-X as the next generation of kdb+, through introductions to q, KDB-X Python and SQL. This course brings together content from other introductory courses to showcase the interoperability of KDB-X.
Using q, you will learn how to query large tables, combine tables using bitemporal joins and write your own functions.
Using KDB-X Python, you will learn to generate KDB-X Python objects from Python objects, query large KDB-X Python datasets and perform time series analysis.
Using KDB-X SQL, you will learn how to perform basic SQL queries, what SQL functionality is supported in KDB-X, how to apply parameters, perform pre-parsing and see interoperability in action.
Who is this course suitable for?
This course is aimed at beginner users of KDB-X, those who have a working knowledge of Python, but little or no experience using q is required. Some knowledge of SQL will be beneficial.
